Privacy Policy

At Curflow we believe privacy is not a legal checkbox — it's a design decision. Your configurations and actions stay on your Mac. We collect only the minimum anonymous data needed to improve the product.

Last updated: April 2026

Executive summary: Curflow works primarily offline. Your configurations, gestures, and actions never leave your Mac. We collect only anonymous crash reports and aggregated usage statistics to improve the product. No personal data is transmitted or stored on external servers.

1. Information We Collect

App Usage Data

Curflow detects the currently active application on your Mac to trigger the shortcuts and actions you have configured. This information stays exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

Accessibility Permissions

Curflow requests access to macOS Accessibility APIs to detect the currently active application and execute keyboard shortcuts on your behalf. This access is required for the core functionality of the product. No data captured through this permission ever leaves your machine.

Anonymous Crash Reports

When Curflow encounters an unexpected error, it may automatically send an anonymous crash report to help us diagnose and fix the issue. These reports contain technical information about the error state — such as stack traces and system version — but no personal data, file names, or application content.

Anonymous Usage Statistics

Curflow collects limited, anonymous usage data to understand which features are most valuable and how the application performs in real-world conditions. This includes aggregated metrics like feature adoption rates and general usage patterns. We do not track individual user behavior, personal files, or the specific actions you configure.

2. How We Use Information

Local Functionality

All app detection, gesture processing, and action execution happens locally on your Mac. Curflow does not rely on cloud infrastructure for its core operation.

Stability and Improvement

Crash reports are used exclusively to identify and fix bugs. Anonymous usage statistics help us prioritize features and improvements based on real usage patterns. This data is never used for advertising, user profiling, or sold to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

Service Providers

We use trusted third-party services for error monitoring and product analytics. These providers process data on our behalf under strict data protection agreements and are contractually prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.

Data Safeguards

Before any data leaves your device, personal identifiers are automatically stripped. We configure our tools to prevent collection of IP addresses, user IDs, and any personally identifiable information. All data in transit is encrypted.

4. Storage and Security

Data on Your Device

Your configuration, shortcuts, and preferences are stored locally on your Mac using standard macOS storage. This data is private and accessible only to Curflow.

No User Accounts or Profiles

Curflow does not require user accounts, email addresses, or any form of registration. We do not maintain profiles or databases of individual users.

5. Sharing Information with Third Parties

No-Sale Policy

We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for commercial purposes.

Legal Exceptions

We would only disclose information if required by law through a valid legal process, and would notify the user to the extent permitted by law.

6. Your Rights

Full Control

You can revoke Accessibility permissions at any time from System Settings → Privacy & Security. Curflow will stop functioning without these permissions, as they are essential to its operation.

Data Deletion

Uninstalling Curflow removes all associated configuration and data from your Mac. You do not need to ask us to delete your data because we do not have it.

7. Changes to This Policy

Change Notification

Any material changes to this policy will be communicated via an in-app update and on this website. The "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page reflects the current version.
